Australian Development Scholarships

Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) offers, each year, approximately 20 scholarships to the Royal Government of Cambodia officials.

Scholarships are available for postgraduate study by coursework in Graduate Diploma and Master's degrees.

All applications will be assessed against the following Eligibility Criteria:

  • Cambodian citizen and resident;
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree;
  • No prior postgraduate degree in an industrialized country;
  • Must be under 42 years of age;
  • Possess advanced English language skills, achieving IELTS score of 5;
  • Be currently employed with at least two years service with RGC Ministry or Agency;
  • On completion of studies, commit to return to work for the relevant Ministry or Agency for at least two years;
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Cambodia's public sector, and to the development of Cambodia in general;
  • Have appropriate work background for proposed field of study.

Women and provincial candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Priority will be give to applicants who can demonstrate and clearly explain the relevance of their proposed studies to the objectives of the Cambodian-Australian Development Cooperation Strategy which can be viewed at:

Applications closing at 12 noon, 22 June, 2007 and must be submitted to AusAid at the Australian Embassy.
